Risk Talk on evolving energy infrastructure: building resiliency

27 Apr 2015

Organised by: Swiss Reinsurance Company Ltd
Location: Rüschlikon/Zurich, Switzerland

Information

Energy security is a common responsibility. With climate change and extreme weather, new energy sources coming on stream and large price fluctuations, this is not a responsibility to be taken lightly.

The challenges of building a resilient energy infrastructure will be addressed at the Risk Talk at the Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue on 27 April 2015. It will particularly focus on financial aspects, with an estimated USD 1.7 trillion investments required to achieve future global sustainable energy supply (as stated in the World Energy Issues Monitor).

How do we achieve these investments? What are risks and uncertainties, and where do they affect the profitability of the energy industry? And what will be the role of the financial services industry, especially banking and insurance?

The General Secretary of the World Energy Council and leading industry experts will seek to answer these questions and more.
