The green world of tomorrow

In order to meet our commitments to climate change reduction, we need to re-imagine almost all the physical infrastructure surrounding us - from our energy supplies to producing energy ourselves; from our transport to our homes; from our workplace to the goods we consume.

These and many other topics were discussed at the Expert Forum: The green world of tomorrow, an event featuring leading practitioners and thinkers from the field of sustainable infrastructure, held at the Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue in January 2011. For the insurance industry, sustainability is a fundamental goal; but the development of new technologies and systems does not come without risk.
